Children laugh, live, and love through Gilda’s Club Grief Programs
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) When you think of Gilda’s Club, you often think of Gilda’s LaughFest, but the organization does so much more. Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids is a free cancer support community of children, adults, families and friends. Gilda’s Club offers many programs for community members who are seeking grief support and Cancer support.
The organization offers a free, comprehensive support program for children (ages 3-18) who are grieving from the death of a friend or family member due to cancer or other health-related issues, accident, murder or suicide. Children can find support among their peers within the special groups for teens, “tweens” and younger children. Many of the adult groups meet at the same time as the children’s groups.
