Camp Sparkle

Calling all campers – add some sparkle to your summer!

Join us at our 2023 Camp Sparkle! A FREE annual day camp for children entering kindergarten through fifth grades impacted by cancer or grief, Camp Sparkle brings together elementary aged children journeying life’s tough stuff to explore ways of coping with cancer and grief that support overall emotional health.

2023 Camp Sparkle will take place

July 10, 12, 14, 17 & 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special Family day on Friday, July 21, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Campers do not have to be a Gilda’s Club member to participate and are welcome to join in as many days of camp they can make!

Camp is jam packed with activities focusing on emotional intelligence and well-being and features a number of community partners, like John Ball Zoo, Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and more. Camp Sparkle is facilitated by Gilda’s Club professional program staff, and supported by trained volunteers.

We’ve had such an amazing response to Camp Sparkle this year! To ensure the quality of our program for campers, we currently are near capacity and are starting a waitlist for campers. Please fill out the form below to join our wait list and if there is space for your camper(s), our childhood coordinator, Chelsey Faust, will reach out to you directly.

Gilda’s Club offers a FREE year-round emotional health support program for youth with age-appropriate curriculum. Learn more about it here, and more about getting support started here.
